Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plans

Medicare Advantage, or Part C, is an alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers approved by Medicare. These plans bundle Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical) coverage and often include additional benefits like dental, vision, hearing, wellness programs, and prescription drug coverage (MAPD).

Medicare Advantage plans come in various formats, such as HMOs and PPOs, each with different networks and rules for accessing care. Costs, including premiums, copayments, and deductibles, vary by plan and location.

Eligibility requires enrollment in both Part A and Part B. The Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) is the primary time to join, switch, or drop a plan, with coverage starting January 1.

These plans provide an all-in-one solution with potential cost savings but may limit provider choices. They are ideal for those seeking comprehensive, coordinated care and additional benefits beyond Original Medicare.

Regardless of which Medicare option you decide is best for you, each option has its own pros and cons. We specialize in educating our clients about their options and allow them to make the best decision for themselves.
